What Happens on a Dedicated Hotline?
Three dedicated-number IVR configurations: greeting only, synthesized menu, or custom menu greeting.
When a consumer calls your dedicated privacy hotline, the IVR follows one of three options you set in the Dedicated Number tab:
1. Play a greeting, take a message (default)
Callers hear the greeting for the active Service Code / menu option, then record a message. There is no menu. If more than one menu option is active, the lowest-numbered option is used. Without a custom greeting, Optacy plays the default greeting.
2. Synthesized menu, then greeting, then message
Callers hear a synthesized voice listing active Service Codes / menu options (for example “For Brand A, press 1”). Up to 10 options. After selection, callers hear that option’s greeting and record a message.
3. Custom menu greeting, then greeting, then message
Most flexible for branded IVR. Callers hear a Menu Greeting you upload at the bottom of the Dedicated Number tab (not the Greetings tab). That greeting should prompt for a menu option. After selection, they hear the option’s greeting and record. Up to 10 menu options are available by default. Contact us for more.
