Consent Frameworks FAQ

They run from the same banner. Jurisdiction Rules detect the visitor’s location and serve the right legal framework and language. Auto-blocking keeps scripts and cookies gated until consent where opt-in rules apply. Optacy then passes the resulting consent signals to the frameworks your tags rely on, so you configure everything in your Optacy Dashboard instead of maintaining separate plugins.

Optacy passes consent signals to Google tags through Google Consent Mode v2, to Microsoft Advertising and Clarity through Microsoft Consent Mode, and to programmatic advertising partners through IAB TCF and GPP. To carry the same choices into your own backend, such as a CRM, CDP, or database, use Downstream Propagation of Consent, which provides real-time consent states through the Optacy API.

Yes. Optacy’s banner is WCAG-compliant by default, with keyboard navigation and screen reader support, and it needs no extra configuration. Jurisdiction Rules also present consent copy in the visitor’s local language so preferences are clear. Accessibility ships in the same banner that handles Google Consent Mode, IAB TCF and GPP, and Microsoft Consent Mode, so there is no separate tool to add.
