How Do Consumers Place Privacy Requests?
Webform, shared hotline, and dedicated toll-free number intake channels for privacy requests.
Consumers can place a privacy request in three ways:
- Submitting an interactive webform from anywhere in the world
- Calling 866-I-OPT-OUT from the USA and entering a Service Code
- Calling a dedicated toll-free number assigned to your account (Enterprise add-on)
Webforms
Webforms help you meet privacy-law requirements such as GDPR or CCPA’s “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link when that link targets your Optacy webform. They work globally, wherever your users are located.
Toll-free number requests
Toll-free number requests are intended for U.S.-based consumers to meet the CCPA toll-free requirement.
If you are outside the U.S. and want to test hotline functionality, use the international test number (646) 798-4104 and enter Service Code 1#. This number is for testing only and is not a toll-free line.
